The property was purchased during 2013 and services have not started. Future services will include membership in the senior fit wellness program, cable television and internet availability, 3 meals per day, transportation to banks and grocery stores; recreational activities, chaplain services and 24-hour security with an emergency call system. Christian Care is an active participant in quality first, a covenant for healthy, affordable and ethical aging services promoted by leading age. (continued on sch o)founded in 1979 the Christian Care companies began with 96 units of subsidized housing and a 60 bed nursing center on the phoenix campus. The organization is one of twenty-five related nonprofit Christian Care companies, (the names of the other twenty-four are listed on schedule r), who provide housing, hospitality and healthcare services for very-low-to-middle income Arizona seniors. The Christian Care companies were founded and are controlled by the nondenominational Christian churches of Arizona and are governed by a common board of directors. At december 31, 2013, the Christian Care companies own and operate 1,632 units of middle-income, market-rate independent and assisted living for seniors on four campuses, 338 units of subsidized housing, and a 66-bed health center. In addition, we provide assisted living services to up to 91 residents of our subsidized housing.benefits of being part of a Christian Care campus typically include shared housekeeping; maintenance and security services including call button monitoring; access to private scheduled transportation; and computer labs with high-speed internet.
