Academic and Translation Project-Academic studies and translating graduate level textbooks concerning effective cross cultural challenges, principles and experiences into simplified Mandarin Chinese in order to optimize the rapidly expanding interactions between mainland Chinese and other cultures on a global as well as domestic scale, thereby minimizing misunderstandings and conflicts and maximizing the benefits for all concerned.
Service and administrative activities associated with multiple projects that cannot be allocated to any one program but are necessary to conduct the primary exempt purposes of this organization.
Southwest Project-In order to develop viable intercultural capacities and not just intellectual comprehension, we operate an intercultural experiential laboratory among rural ethnic minorities in southwest China predominantly for Han Chinese to apply and genuinely absorb the principles of intercultural interaction previously studied academically; confronting collisions of conflicting norms, languages and customs while in a context different yet culturally and geographically near their own.
