Program areas at CRY
CRY America supports best in class non profits that impacts the lives of children, especially underserved children in the USA. Supported Projects work on critical issues of child health, child abuse, neglect & protection. They also publish their annual reports & activities on their website. CRY America supports carefully selected grass-roots projects in India that ensure development opportunities for underprivileged children, including issues of education healthcare, nutrition, gender equality and protection from child labor, child marriage & child abuse. 210,884 children have been mainstreamed into public schools, 1,255 public schools strengthened, 230,884 children immunized, 130,098 child births have been registered giving children an identity, 2,585 villages & slums have been made child labor free and 3,170 children's groups are building confidence & leadership skills among thousands of underprivileged children. These achievements have been possible due to the CRY America Grants to India Projects over a 19 year period.
