Program areas at Child and Family Agency of Southeastern Connecticut

Counseling: office based - 4,207 children, adults & Family members. In-home services - 1,968 children & Family members. 37 children from our school based health clinics receive evaluation and medication management through our psychiatric services.in july 2019, cfa expanded our outpatient services to provide supportive counseling to adults connected to the families we work with. Later that year, in november 2019 we expanded our therapeutic services in middlesex county through the creation of both an indoor and outdoor therapeutic area to provide specialized services to address the needs of children with sensory and self-regulatory needs
Childhood services: comprehensive development services - medical, mental health, Child care, and social services are available to children birth to six years. Family resource centers and Child care services. Summer programming to school age children and after school programming provided to 38 children. Developmental infant/toddler nursery provided socially and educationally enriched individualized attention to infants and toddlers and their families. Child care provided to 150 children. 100 families served through our new london and groton Family resource centers. In september 2019, cfa opened a new preschool and toddler playground at our groton early childhood development center.
School based & school linked health centers - 10,742 visits to centers and 5,132 students enrolled. Cfa opened a new school based health center in groton, CT at the mary morrisson school.
Prevention/education services: 1) substance abuse prevention programming provided education to the lyme/old lyme community at large. 2) serve here is a program designed to reduce academic debt and encourage active community members through service. 3) CT strong programming is state funded to work with and improve the lives of young adults in nl county meeting specific criteria.
