CAFC's mission is to make a difference in our community by providing resources for financial assistance, supplemental and nutritional food, affordable clothing and household goods, as a 100% volunteer-operated organization. Cash assistance was provided for individuals and families needing funds for heat and other utilitiy or rent needs. Cash assistance totaled $18176. Food was also provided to those in need in the amount of $20340. To provide a helping hand to persons and families in need.

Program areas at Chester-Andover Family Center

CAFC operates a food shelf where community members may access fresh fruits and vegetables, a large variety of nutritional staples and food provided by the Vermont Food Bank and other vendors.
CAFC operates a small thrift store where community members in need can access gently-used clothing at no cost. Revenue from thrift store shoppers is then used to provide financial assistance to community members in need, as described above.
CAFC provides financial assistance to community members for a variety of challenges. In 2024, the organization provided a total of $25,190 to individuals in need of rental assistance ($6,514); utilities assistance ($4,748); heating assistance ($7,236); vehicle repairs ($2,593); and miscellaneous needs ($4,100).
