Power hour: making minutes count the Youth Center utilizes staff members and tutors from the education program at western carolina university work together to provide Club members with a comprehensive homework help and tutoring program designed to raise academic proficiency.
Smart moves:smart moves (skills mastery and resistance training) is a prevention/education program offered through the Boys and Girls clubs of america (b&gca). Smart moves addresses issues concerning drugs, alcohol, gangs, and premature sexual activity. Smart moves consists of a variety of age-appropriate small group programs and activities that increase participants peer support such activities include field trips, hosting dances, and offering educational events to help parents talk with their children about difficult issues.
Triple play:triple play is a dynamic wellness program currently offered in Boys & Girls clubs that demonstrates how eating right, keeping fit and forming positive relationships add up to a healthy lifestyle. The goal of triple play program is to improve Club members' knowledge of healthy habits, increase the number of hours per day they participate in physical activities, and strengthen their ability to interact positively with others and engage in positive relationships. This program teaches participants basic computer skills.
Other program services: the organization offers multiple other afterschool programs focusing on multiple development areas such as tutoring, anti-bullying, technology, and financial literacy. All designed to provide participants with skillsets to help them succeed in school and beyond.
