Program areas at Chatfield Center for the Arts
Coming off the heels of covid closures and a large renovation project, 2023 marked the return to a full, interrupted programming calendar. Although not up to pre-pandemic levels, the cca offered 35 productions spanning a diverse array of performances, classes, and workshops, fostering creative expression and community engagement. the Center's mission to support the Arts was further emphasized through its various events, which included live music, theater performances, and educational programs. This commitment to Arts and culture not only enriched the local community but also attracted visitors from beyond the region. One of the other key milestones was the completion of the second phase of its renovation project, which involved extensive updates to the historic 1916 school building. This phase focused on restoring the original assembly hall, creating galleries, offices, and art studios, and adding new amenities such as restrooms and a large lobby. These improvements significantly upgraded the facility, making it more versatile and better equipped to host a wide range of Arts programming.
