Program areas at Charlotte Artsfest
Cccpct enhances arts, cultural and entertainment opportunities in Charlotte by creating inclusive arts experiences. This is accomplished by cccpct dba Charlotte Artsfest, inc. Through a range of coordinated festival events such as the novant health thanksgiving eve parade, clt new year's eve and Charlotte shout!. The novant health thanksgiving eve parade is the city's annual holiday parade on the night before thanksgiving, which cccpct began producing in 2013. Clt new year's eve is a celebration in uptown on december 31st. Charlotte shout! Is an event from the past that was re-introduced in spring of 2019, with a pause in 2020. In addition, cccpct secured several grants: to activate the north tryon area, to enhance our music everywhere initiative to provide aide to those in that Community affected by the pandemic and lastly to sponsor activation of the rail trail.
Cccpct created a single member llc that will invest in the Community through small business innovation fund grants given to small businesses as they adapt their operations or business models in the wake of the covid-19 pandemic. The program is intended to support these local businesses as they seek to innovate, to stay competitive, and advance.
Cccpct will invest in initiatives that build Community through education, health, wellness, and sustainability. The first model program to support these goals is cccpct dba Charlotte b-cycle, made possible by bluecross and blueshield of north carolina. This is a bike share program for the city of Charlotte to support healthy and sustainable transportation choices and better bike awareness in the city. This program is a public-private partnership between cccpct and the city of Charlotte.
