Program areas at Channel Islands Maritime Museum
In 2022 we returned to our regular open days, with slightly shortened hours, for increasing post Covid visitors. We provide displays and interpretations of the evolution of marine art and ships from the Age of Sail through modern times. We updated education programs/exhibits to complement core curriculum standards for social and marine science, including local partnerships such as with the Mystic Whaler, an 18th Century sailing ship. Most of our school visits are funded through corporate and foundation donations. We provided a venue for art exhibition for over 200 local youth, amateur and professional artists. We served as a cultural hub for our community, providing a cultural gathering place, forum for speakers, and destination for tourism.
