Program areas at Chainless Change

Chainless Change provided reentry and recovery-based resources to over 250 individuals during fy 23. Of those who accessed our support and remained engaged with us for at least three months post-release, 70 percent avoided recidivism. We also made significant strides in community building and advocacy, addressing the root causes of mass incarceration. Key achievements include engaging justice-impacted communities in the participatory budgeting process at a county-level, successfully advocating for an alternative response to policing in the city of fort lauderdale, and advancing efforts to implement a non-punitive, contactless court option for driver's license suspensions in miami-dade county.
