Certified Naturally Grown

In FY 2021-22 Certified Naturally Grown completed production of five additional educational films and used them as the basis for a new five-session educational series Branching Out. Each session featured a screening of the film along with a panel discussion by experienced farmers to dive deep into that particular scope of production. A sixth film about the peer review process was also produced. A curriculum was developed to provide instruction on conducting a robust peer-review inspection. The class was offered multiple times to a total of 38 participants and a further level of instruction developed for the most experienced to quality to be Senior Inspectors SIs. The 16 SIs helped to implement a new program for Remote Observed Inspections ROIs In addition CNG reviewed applications for certification from more than 200 farmers and beekeepers and supported about 700 farmers participating in our five certification programs.
