Program areas at Central Florida Disaster Services
During 2023, the coalition developed a crisis standard of care plan and a chemical surge annex, and updated all regional plans, including continuity of healthcare service delivery, continuity of operations plan, fatality management plan, hazard vulnerabiltiy assessment, marketing plan, training plan, strategic plan, highly infectious disease response plan, family assistance center response team deployment plan, Disaster behavioral health response plan, coalition preparedness plan, alternate care site plan, and pediatric response plan. Conducted quarterly community based drills for all healthcare organizations, including a tornado drill, a generator drill, an active shooter drill, and a mutual aid drill. The coalition facilitated the regional medical surge full scale exercise, including more than 60 hospitals across the region, and over 2,000 volunteers supporting the exercise. Purchased decontamination and ppe equipment for hospitals. Also purchased 2 zumro shelter system tents for emergency response to hospitals.
