Program areas at Central District Forum for Arts & Ideas
In 2023 we welcomed CD Forum artist alum, Randy Ford as the new Executive Director. We were able to build our team from 3 to 7, establish the first partnership program with Langston Seattle around artist development and emergency relief (Create and Thrive), and create a signature season with programming audiences can look forward to including MUTHA, Soul Sunday, and our newest Happy Hour events. While our multi-year funding ended from Mellon Foundation (LANE), Satterberg, we were able to secure newer funding and partnerships that came from Black Future Co-op Fund, Lorna Jordan Foundation, and King County which helped fund our new Artistic Director position with long time CD Forum curator, Dani Tirrell. Satterberg generously provided us with a substantial gratitude gift as they sunset which helped us end and start our next fiscal year.
