Program areas at CPD

Hosted programs:through its hosted program, cpd helps new and emerging social justice and advocacy organizations to develop and grow by providing a diversity of services contextualized for each hosted organization. Services include mentorship, access to cpd's network, management, training, administrative support and fiscal sponsorship. As an incubator, cpd is a catalyst mechanism for local and regional base building. Our goal is to foster a vibrant advocacy community and fuel innovation within the civic space. In 2018, cpd provided support to ten (10) emerging organizations.

Base building:through our base building program, cpd provides partners with technical assistance, identifying, synthesizing, and disseminating field-tested practices and emerging promising practices aimed to increase capacity to dismantle political and economic structures that reinforce inequity.

State power project:state power project (spp), is designed to build the grassroots organizational strength of nine state affiliates developing essential organizing skills of emerging grassroots leaders across a range of campaign issues, including automatic voter registration, rights restoration, public financing, redistricting and other innovative Democracy reforms. Spp works closely with state affiliates across the country, as well as other allied state and national organizations to develop, support and implement program strategies, policy development, and advocacy.
