Center for Conflict Resolution empowers communities, organizations and individuals to handle disputes constructively by developing and designing appropriate and creative solutions that address all interests, needs, and values. It is a premier provider of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and conflict management resources, attending to the needs of the larger community through court-annexed mediation programs and community mediation. Cases were mediated in the courts and provided training for volunteers and students during the mediation process in the court-connected environment.

Program areas at Center for Conflict Resolution

Center for Conflict Resolution serves the Los Angeles Superior Court by providing mediators to assist claimants and defendants in resolving their disputes without having to appear before a judge. This service is offered at no charge to the litigants and is available on the day of hearing in various courtrooms across the county. Over 4,000 volunteer mediation hours were provided to approximately 1,000 mediations.
