Center for Advancing Women in Technology broadens women's participation in technology through interdisciplinary computing education. It provides computing education by creating new interdisciplinary computing education programs for women in college. To extend the interdisciplinary computing education to community colleges, a new applied programming experiences (APEX) program was created. Grants of $266,167 were sent to one university and three community colleges during this initiative.
