Program areas at CCS Early Learning

CCS Operates two primary programs - Head Start (ages 3-5) and Early HeadStart (prenatal - age 3). These programs are provided to vulnerablechildren/families. Stats from the 2021/2022 school year (COVIDflexibilities allowed by the Office of Head Start):Children and families qualified for services based on the following criteria:Low income (below 100% of poverty) - 46% Foster care - 34%Homelessness - 19%Children who had a diagnosed disability - 28 of 256 = 11%Of these children with disabilities the number whose disability wasdetermined while they were enrolled - 12 of 28 = 43%The number/percentage of Head Start children up to date on a schedule ofage appropriate preventive and primary health care (well child checks):At Enrollment - 37 of 256 = 14%At Year End - 122 of 256 = 48%The number/percentage of children who were provided Mental Health Services- 24 of 256 = 9%Number/Percentage of Services Provided to Families (total of 244 familiesserved):Parenting Education - 84 of 244 = 34%Asset Building 16 of 244 = 7%Emergency/Crisis Intervention 76 of 244 = 31%Number of Volunteers 228
