The Citizens Commission on Human Rights District of Columbia (CCHR DC) is a non-profit, non-political, non-religious mental health industry watchdog whose mission is to eradicate and expose abuses committed under the guise of mental health. We work to ensure patient and consumer protections are enacted and upheld as there is rampant abuse in the field of mental health. We work to ensure patient Rights are upheld and expose practices which abuse those Rights. To investigate and expose psychiatric abuses of Human Rights.

It informs and educates legislators, policymakers and others about violations of Human Rights in proposed legislation and existing laws and regulations.
Informational clearinghouse and hotline: CCHR DC provides information about the mental health industry on its website and promotes the databases on CCHR international's website. CCHR DC has a hotline for abuse cases to get assistance with Human Rights violations in the mental health system.
