Catawba Area Agency on Aging (Catawba AAA) is the designated Area Agency on Aging for the Chester, Lancaster, Union and York counties of South Carolina. Catawba AAA is a freestanding, private, non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization that devotes 100% of its time to aging issues. The Older Americans Act of 1965, as amended, and the recent reauthorized Older Americans Act of 2006, charges the Area Agency on Aging to plan, fund and coordinate community care and advocacy programs for the older adults who live in the Catawba region.
