Housing -the organization works is to identify barriers to housing and to eliminate them. This means that a case manager will be working with individuals on getting identification cards, birth certificates, and social security cards. The goal is to work through past evictions and help clients pay the debts they owe and obtain the meants to be self sufficient.the organization will work with potential landlords to match individuals with the housing options that are best for them. The organization works with local agencies who assist in seeking housing permanency for individuals in need.
Case management - the organization has a case manager to assist tindividuals to identify the roots of their homelessness and by working individually with those individuals to establish goals that help them leave prepared and empowered to live productively and independently.
Life skills - life skills are the skills that many people take for granted; such as managing money, shopping, cooking, running a home, and maintaining social networks. They are essential for living independently. Some people experiencing homelessness do not have all of these skills, either because they never acquired them or because they lost them through extended periods of homelessness. Helping those experiencing homelessness acquire life skills can help them move on from homelessness and resettle into the community. Life skills training is different from support, help or assistance in that the aim is to promote self-sufficiency. The organization offers two basic life skills training modules. The first is called holistic hardware, which offers core life skills through a biblical model. The second is called escaping your prison mind, which offers core life skills through the 12-step process.
