Catalyst Miami’s mission is to develop and support individual leadership and strong organizations that work together to improve health, education, and economic opportunity in their community. Founded by Daniella Levine Cava as the Human Services Coalition, our defining role is to identify and launch innovative community building strategies. They envision a thriving Miami in which residents, organizations and communities work together toward common goals. Collaboration, partnership and networks drive their work and are central to all of their programs.

Program areas at Catalyst Miami

Prosperity campaign and wealth-building programs: health insurance and income support navigation,financial coaching and financial products, and free tax preparation in support of economic mobility for members of frontline communities. Community-wide wealth- building programs include a universal savings program for young children as well as support, training and technical assistance for small businesses and worker cooperatives.
Community econmic development creative opportunities for miami-dade residents to own assets through cooperative economic models, such as worker-owned businesses and real- estate investment cooperatives.
Policy & engagement: build social cohesion and civic participation to solve critical community issues by organizing and mobilizing with our partner networks and residents. Train and engage residents in all levels of advocacy and grassroots leadership, while also increasing communities' social, political, and financial capital.
