Program areas at Cascade Forest Conservancy

In 2023, we continued to advocate for and provide sustainable solutions to Forest management and watershed protections in Washington's south cascades. We did this by working in local collaborative groups and providing public comments on Forest management and policy decisions, and worked to protect the mt. St. helens area from irresponsible mining. We continued the implementation of a program to source and store non-merchantable wood for aquatic restoration, reintroduced beavers, restored streams by enhancing aquatic and riparian habitats, and restored the landscape through plantings and pre and post-fire restoration.
