Rescued and rehabilitated 1,865 protected birds and several other animals, including 432 opossums, 358 bunnies, 31 raccoons, 50 bats, 16 fox/skunk, 42 rodents and 222 herps.CWC holds permits for endangered Spotted Turtles and foxes, as well as USFW permits to rehabilitate protected songbirds, raptors and waterbirds.
The annual spring Baby Shower is an open house event held at Saluda Shoals Park. The event includes animal displays and other booths to raise money for the needs of the shelter. This year we received approximately $2,315 of non-cash donations to support our mission.
Presented 41 education programs for over 1600 children and adults to schools, church and scout groups, public groups and libraries using our USDA permitted education animals.
