Program areas at Carolina Pregnancy Care Fellowship
Special Appropriations Grant from North Carolina Department of Human Health Services (NCDHHS). In 2022 there were two grants in effect per NC State Fiscal Year Contracts. The first contract was for (Contract effective July 1 2021 June 30, 2022) As per contract: $1,203,437 in nonrecurring appropriated funds and $500,000 in recurring appropriated funds for state fiscal year 2021-2022 making total grant of $1,703,437.The second contract was for (Contract effective July 1, 2022 June 30, 2023) as per contract: $2,479,904 in nonrecurring appropriated funds and $500,000 in recurring, appropriated funds for state fiscal year 2022-2023 making total grant of $2,979,904.In 2021- 2022 there were 52 NC pregnancy centers that participated. In 2022-2023 there were 55 NC pregnancy centers that participated. Per month each Pregnancy Center submitted a monthly financial report of budgeted and approved expenses in various line-item accounts which were reimbursed on a monthly basis. A grand total of grant funds given to participating NC pregnancy centers $3,051,254.08. Administrative portion was $187,696.
Fall Conference 2022 - The event was held in the mountains at Ridgecrest, NC. The conference provided an environment in which networking, program support, provisions of training/workshops, consultation, program support, and facilitated inter-agency networking across the State of NC of pregnancy centers or maternity home participants which impacted their own pregnancy center or organization. In 2022 there were 41 organizations and 139 individuals that attended Fall Conference. Besides general main sessions there were 6 workshops provided for the attendees. The total expense for 2022 Fall Conference was $43,540.30.
Special Appropriations Medical Grant Contract effective July 1, 2021 June 30, 2022 for $750,000.00 and Contract effective July 1, 2022 June 30, 2023 for $750,000. These grants were specific for purchases of durable equipment and training on the use of durable equipment. In 2022 Carolina Pregnancy Care Fellowship received grant funds from NCDHHS in the amount of $1,500,000.00. Total amount of expenses in 2022 was $1,217,004.33. of which 1,210,569.05 given to NC pregnancy centers and $6,435.28 for administrative costs There were 30 ultrasound machine purchases, 25 various other durable equipment and 11 nurses ultrasound trainings.
