Carbonfund.org is leading the fight against global warming, making it easy and affordable for any individual, business or organization to reduce and offset their climate impact and hasten the transition to a clean energy future.
Carbonfund.orCarbonfundorgrg Foundation's programs continue to reduce the impact of climate change through the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions, educating the public about the issue of climate change, and supporting renewable energy, energy efficiency, and reforestation projects. We retired over 353,000 carbon offsets and planted 65,000 trees during 2018.
Carbonco, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Foundation, continued advising the 34,000-hectare purus project, the first-ever redd+ project in the acre, brazil to achieve dual validation and verification to the vcs and the ccbs with gold distinction. Carbonco continued to advise the russas and valparaiso projects, which will conserve more than 70,000 hectares in the brazilian juru-valparaiso river basin. The russas and valparaiso projects were also validated and verified to the vcs and ccbs with gold distinction. The envira amazonia project is one of the largest redd+ projects in the world and is one of only a handful of forestry projects to be validated and verified as triple gold distinction for exceptional climate, community, and biodiversity benefits.
Operated camp quinebarge in moultonborough, new hampshire and educated 342 children about the environment and climate change while developing an ongoing appreciation for nature, the outdoors, and an active lifestyle.
