Program areas at Caras Con Causa
Education Services: We continued to coordinate afterschool programs for underprivileged children to provide improved provisions of the education services. We served over several children and their families Monday through Thursday. We offer academic tutoring, arts, crafts, sports, mentoring,collegue prep,etc. Among our accomplishments is that all our students passed to the next level, awe provided more than 4,000 tutoring hours. Provided 4 School Nurseries.
Community- Delivered almost 11,000 (hot meals) and 9,000 gallons of potable water distributed in the communities.
Ecology- With the raices urbanas project, we continued the nursery and planting several hundred trees with students in the neighborhood forest. We provided over 1,300 ecology contact hours and planted around 1,100 tree. Created 5 micro-forest (urban forest).
