Enrichment Programs Freeclasses in sports, math, computerscience, and debate to sparkacademic interest.CYOC volunteers provided free online or in-person classes to K-12 students to help students in need in each summer. The purpose is to help the students in need.. Community Senior Initiatives Gardening project to deliver produce to senior centers and teaching seniors English.Vegetable and fruits are grown by CYOC volunteers in the spring/summer season over each weekend and free donation to senior centers such as Jiayuan Senior Center. Volunteers also go to senior centers to teach foreign senior members English so they could communicate better in their daily life (every week). Global Outreach - A group of 100 CYOC volunteers meet with elementary school and middle school students online for cultural exchange and learning English/Chinese from each other every other week since Jan 2024. A group 20 CYOC volunteered visited MaliPo County in Yunan, China, a very rural area, for culture exchange in June 2024.Global Outreach Cultural exchange program with MalipoCounty in Yunnan, China. Arts and Performance AAPI Youth Choir, which represented Asian culture at high profile events.A youth choir formed by around 25 CYOC volunteer to showcase Chinese culture in AAPI events including Lunar New Year, AAPI month in May etc. Community Engagement Independence Day Festival, AAPI Heritage MonthCelebrations, Pikes Peek 10K, and morelocal culture festivals.Each year, more than 100 CYOC volunteers hold the largest American Flag in the DC National Independence Day Parade. CYOC volunteers also participated in other AAPI events and local culttural festivals to showcase Asian American culture. Partnerships SoWhatElse, Giant, Chinese grocery stores, Manna FoodCenter, Montgomery County Parks,CACHS, and the Montgomery County Agricultural Fair.-Over 150 CYOC volunteers particpate in year round collaboration with charitable organizations such as SoWhatElse, grocery stores, food centers, county parks and festivals to collect toy, food, or clothes and help people in need. No cash or check donations were accepted during these events.
