Program areas at CMATO

As a museum focused on access CMATO has provided extensive online offerings. When venues and museums closed in March 2020 due to the global health pandemic CMATO prioritized creating more online content and enhancing digital resources. Content included online exhibitions virtual tours and field trips remote artist talks and workshops and other programming. More than three thousand people visit CMATO's website each month to take advantage of online content and art experiences.
CMATO's Family Art Day program an opportunity for families with children to be immersed in visual arts activities inspired by the Museum's exhibitions has served more than 2,000 parents and children since its inception in 2019 both in-person and virtually.
The Museum's Artist Workshop series launched in November of 2020 to help support educators and families during remote learning serves adults and children locally regionally and internationally through hands-on art projects and art education. Nearly 1,000 adults and children have participated in this free public program since its inception.
