Program areas at California Environmental Voters
Building Power program - The Building Power Program exists to build new constituencies and regional power. In battleground regions across California, we mobilize communities of color and youth around environmental justice policy priorities and train local policy makers and advocates to push for the prioritization of bold climate policy solutions and strengthening democracy.
Regulatory program - The Regulatory Advocacy program is operated across the state of California to pass more stringent clean energy and transportation regulations. We engage with state regulatory agencies, boards, and commissions that are tasked with actually implementing clean energy and decarbonization targets that are mandated by state law.
Path to 62 California Environmental Voters researches districts and identifies, recruits, and helps train people running for office who will fight for our environment and our future. Envirovoters supports candidates who come from communities most impacted by climate change and help them win and is proud to help change which candidates are considered viable, and to elect people of color, women, and lgbtq, indigenous, and young leaders via its associated political action committees.
