Donald Chaiken Building Industry Technology Academy (BITA)BITA is a four-year high school construction training curriculum designed to build awareness of the various career options in construction and provide students the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to pursue a career in the building industry.BITA provides an educated workforce to meet industry demand, offset worker retirement, and avoid labor shortages, plus enhances the public perception of the building industry, its diverse career opportunities, and hardworking employees. The program has expanded to over 60 schools statewide, impacting over 7,000 students each semester.

Construction Industry Research Board (CIRB)CIRB is a prominent nonprofit institution for housing research, operating under the California Homebuilding Foundation.Established in the 1950s, CIRB offers customized research services that enable organizations to seize opportunities and achieve growth using data-based tools and services. By providing customers with vital residential and non-residential insights, its research has become a trusted resource for companies across a diverse range of industries, Universities and various state agencies. CIRB additionally sponsors independent, university-based research on housing-related issues in California, playing a crucial role in addressing the states need for more housing and is dedicated to the professional development of students, offering hands-on experience internships at selected California universities.

California Homebuilding Foundation Post-Secondary ScholarshipsThe California Homebuilding Foundation is helping students interested in a building related program pursue higher education. The Foundation manages over 125 scholarship endowments, which were established by homebuilding professionals, individuals, families, businesses, and organizations supporting the building industry. Foundation scholarships provide financial assistance and recognition to students who have a financial need and are in good academic standing as they strive to achieve a wide range of goals through the pursuit of higher education.
