Program areas at California Budget and Policy Center
The Budget Center distributes research and analysis by producing both long- and short-form publications. The Budget Center produced 47 analyses in 2022 to advance public policies to create a more equitable California that were published on our website and distributed to our email subscriber list which averaged 7,900 subscribers. Our website had a total of 181,213 visitors and over 3,000 copies of publications downloaded. We also distribute our publications through social media, especially twitter, where we maintained an average of 10,000 followers and had an average of 105,000 impressions per month.
The Budget Center hosted eight virtual events in 2022 with 3,796 registrants.
The Budget Center also maintains relationships with advocacy partners across the state by participating in speaking engagements, serving on boards and committees, and providing technical assistance. Our staff served on 30-35 boards or committees at any given time throughout the year, participated in 71 speaking engagements, and fulfilled 438 technical assistance requests from state and local advocates and policymakers and their staff. These partnerships help maximize our impact to create more equitable Policy for all californians.
