California Association of DUI Treatment Programs proactively promotes understanding, improves, and at times preserves driving under the influence programs in California. It approves continuing education providers for its registered and certified counselors in conjunction with certification, with a fee for the approval process. CADTP provides specialty trainings to members and other stakeholders. Program areas at California Association of DUI Treatment Programs

CADTP holds semi-annual enducational forums, open to both members and non-members. The forums have evolved to include issues that address both the internal and external concerns of DUI program operations and staff.
In conjunction with certification, CADTP must approve continuing education providers for its registered and certified counselors. There is a fee for the approval process. CADTP also provides specialty trainings to members as well as other stakeholders. CADTP provides its members with a group legal plan with a lawyer who is versed in DUI program regulations. CADTP collects the quarterly fee from the DUI programs and retains the lawyer for those DUI programs at a group rate using those fees.
CADTP is one of the organizations recognized by the State of California to certify individuals as alcohol and other drug counselors.
