Program areas at California Amateur Hockey Association
Conduct tier weekend tournaments and player development camps for its members to provide individual skill development and training, learn team development and leadership skills, provide growth of self-awareness and provide appropriate level of competition. The player camps provide opportunities for the players to be evaluated and to move on the district and national training and evaluation camps. Programs services include registering teams to be available to compete in usa sanctioned Amateur Hockey team tournaments within and outside the state of California.
Membership programs services include providing registration, tier player and team credentialing services, oversee and enforcement of rules and regulations, conduct displinary hearings and rulings, conduct annual tier training conference for team managers, provide coaching clinics and development programs, engage, schedule, oversee referees and provide guidance and development opportunities for referrees, promote and implement usa Hockey's american development model for player development within clubs, and provide other program services including safe sport, concussion awareness, and player safety programs.
Conduct state and regional playoffs, championships and tournaments for California registered boys and girls youth teams, high school teams and adult leagues for various levels of competition. Based on results, certain teams and certain levels advance to the pacific district playoffs and to the usa national tournaments.
