Program areas at Cadence Theatre Company
Stage Write: A community outreach program that invites Richmond City High School Students to receive performing arts training, workforce readiness, and leadership skills. Students gain experience in teamwork, critical thinking, problem solving, and verbal and non-verbal communication, among other skills.
Cadence Pipeline New Works Fellowship affords five Virginia playwrights the opportunity to create and develop an original work under the guidance and mentorship of Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright David Lindsay-Abaire.
Mainstage Season: Six-show season of contemporary plays and musicals which included "Everybody", "True West", "Small Mouth Sounds", "Annie Jr.". In addition Cadence Theatre Company offers "Talk Back Sundays" for selected productions. CTC hosts these informal panel discussions following designated matinees to encourage greater audience investment in and understanding of live theater by connecting them to our company, our artists, special guests and community leaders.
