Business for Social Responsibility works with its network of over 250 member companies to create a just and sustainable world. A global nonprofit organization with offices in Asia, Europe, North and South America, BSR develops sustainable business strategies and solutions. They draw on a team of nearly 20 human rights experts and partners from the business and civil society to tackle global challenges and help companies meet global human rights standards. BSR also works with companies to align their emissions reductions strategies with the Paris Agreement, building a climate resilient world.

Program areas at Business for Social Responsibility

Sustainability management we draw on 25 years of experience working with companies and their stakeholders across different industries and geographies. We can:-work with companies to design and implement sustainability strategies and incorporate sustainability into core corporate strategy.-advise on more effective and impactful reporting approaches.-help companies understand and engage stakeholders and build trust, both at the corporate level and in specific geographies or service areas.-advise companies on a raft of new ethics and transparency challenges and help build organizational cultures where integrity and sustainability are core considerations.
Human rightswe draw on a team of nearly 20 human rights experts and a network of partners from Business and civil society to tackle global challenges and help companies in all sectors meet and exceed global human rights standards. Our work includes surveying and benchmarking human rights practices and policies across industries to aid our member companies' efforts to craft comprehensive, responsible approaches to human rights.
Her projectbsr's herproject is a collaborative initiative that strives to empower low-income women working in global supply chains. Bringing together global brands, their suppliers, and local ngos, herproject drives impact for women and Business via workplace-based interventions on health, financial inclusion, and gender equality. Since its inception in 2007, herproject has worked in more than 1,000 workplaces across 17 countries and has increased the well-being, confidence, and economic potential of more than 1,225,000 women and 775,000 men.
Climate changeto fulfill the paris agreement's vision of a net-zero greenhouse gas emissions economy by 2050, we work with companies to deliver 1.5c-aligned climate goals, transform their value chains, manage climate risks, and advance climate justice. We tailor our work to the specific needs of each company and industry.
