Our website is the only global business and human nghts knowledge hub, delivering up-to-date and comprehensive news and ‘information in eight languages We tracked the human nghts policy and performance of 7,904 companies in over 180 countries, making information publicly available on our digital platform We contnbute to and publish a free weekly update service on business and human ‘tights that reaches 27,096 recipients Our 18 Regional Researchers work with local communites and non-profit organizationsto Understand the impacts of businesses on the ground, and regularly talk with business people and government officials. We use this information {o mamtain our database and release briefings and analysis, synthesizing the work of hundreds of advocates across the world, and ‘making recommendations for companies, govemments, regions, and sectors. We help communities and NGOs convince companies address human rights concems, and provide companies an opportunity to present their response in full
We participate in KnowTheChain, an intiatve to rank companies on their efforts to eradicate forced labor from thew global supply chains 'n 2017 we conducted a full review of the KnowTheChain benchmark methodology. This involved ‘collecting feedback from “KnowTheChain partner organizations (Ilumanity United, Verite, Sustamalytics and the Resource Centre) and consulting extemal stakeholders a revised version of the framework. We iaunched revised methodologies for the Information & Communication Technology food ‘& beverage, and apparel & footwear sectors, and published ‘a list of companies to be benchmarked in 2018.
