Child care & education affordability - mobile preschool classrooms served 198 children at 12 sites in Burke County providing education % of children participating in the mobile preschool classroom at least 6 months demonstrated at least one month of developmental growth as measured by the creative curriculm. Monthly quality bonuses provided to 34 child care facilities serving 482 non-subsidized children. 100% of child care facilities receiving quality bonuses maintained or increased their quality as measured by the star licensure rating

Nc pre k - development and implementation of nc pre k prekindergarten program for at-risk four-year-olds who are at risk of failure in kindergarten. The goal is to provide quality prekindergarten services in order to enhance kindergarten readiness. 379 children served in classrooms at 19 sites located in Burke County

Child care and education quality - child care resource and referral services and health care benefits for child care providers to enhance the quality of child care facilities. Health insurance benefits provided to 105 child care providers in 8 child care facilities and child care home centers with 70% in 4 or 5 star facilities providing health insurance by june 30, 2018. The child care resource and referral activity provided resources to child care centers. These resources included technical assistance and trainings to child care staff that affected the teaching and classroom quality. 118 trainings conducted to 287 child care staff from 51 child care providers of 51) of participating child care centers maintained their star rating
