Description
BRING Recycling is one of the nation's oldest non-profit recyclers. Since 1971, we have encouraged people to rethink what they use and what they throw away. We help our community keep useful items out of the landfill, find ways to use less stuff, reuse as many things as possible and recycle the rest. From collecting and processing household recyclables to teaching kids about using earthworms to compost, BRING has a wealth of information, practical tips and programs to help you live sustainably in Lane County.

Program areas at BRING Recycling

Reuse and retail outlet and donation center: the planet improvement center, part reuse store and part conservation learning center, is a community treasure featuring art, a demonstration garden and examples of green building, creative reuse, and renewable energy. The center has enabled Bring to expand sales of used building materials while creating innovative programs that empower our community to reduce waste and live more sustainably. The center promotes resource conservation while providing employment to folks that may have barriers to traditional employment.the center operates for the benefit of the community by offering employment and training to staff and volunteers and by providing low-cost building materials to the public. We process over 2 million pounds of material annually.
Construction materials recovery and reuse program (cmrr): brings cmrr program offers free technical assistance, education and training, and cost savings to lane county contractors, builders, and developers. Cmrr recovers reusable materials from active construction sites that might otherwise go to the landfill. Capturing these materials reduces waste and helps contractors save on waste disposal fees.
BUSINESS PROGRAM: OUR RETHINK BUSINESS PROGRAM, A FREE, COMPREHENSIVE CONSULTING SERVICE, PROVIDES LANE COUNTY BUSINESSES WITH CONFIDENTIAL ADVICE AND SUPPORT ON PRACTICAL WAYS TO REDUCE WASTE AND SAVE MONEY. BUSINESSES RECEIVE PROMOTIONAL ASSISTANCE AND FREE RESOURCES, INCLUDING WATER-SAVING DEVICES, RECYCLING COLLECTION BOXES, AND EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS.
