The Fund served 1,625 low- and moderate-income homeowners and grassroots nonprofit organizations by providing used and surplus Building Materials at approximately 25% of fair market value. The Fund received in-kind donations of Building Materials with a fair market value of $2,083,633 in 2022. Donations came from 1,248 homeowners, contractors, retailers and manufacturers.
The Fund's workshops teach skills homeowners can use to make improvements and repairs to their homes. Taught by professional contractors, workshops cover topics such as working with a contractor, intro to tools for women, using a router, tiling, home weatherization, and drywall installation. Customers can receive answers to their home repair questions over the phone, at the store, or through home visits.
