Program areas at Boone and Crockett Club

The records & publications programs keeps the records of native north american big game for the purpose of providing a vital conservation record of excellence in specimen quality and linking it with both excellence in habitat management and wildlife management practices that produce such specimens and excellence in hunting skills demonstrated by the taking of such specimen in a manner that fully complies with the Club's fair chase code. The Club also organizes recognition programs to honor specimen quality, hunter skills, sportsmanship, and management practices that produce quality wildlife populations.during the year the organization processed 1,441 record entries. Three official measurer workshops were conducted in Utah, Pennsylvania, and missoula. B&c's publications program published three new books for our b&c classics series: dragon lizards of komodo, camp-fires on desert and lava, and recent hunting trips in north america. The books were supported with multi-faceted marketing plans that included both direct mail and email campaigns executed by the publications program, plus social media coverage. We assisted communications with content creation, web site coordination and webstore setup along with the Club's in-house technology team. We also designed and coordinated the trophy photography, exhibit, signs, collateral, and presentations for the 31st big game awards program.
Associates program - provides services to associates to promote hunter ethics and conservation through education and demonstrations. During the year the organization published 5 issues of fair chase magazine for 4,272 subscribers and 1,259 lifetime associates.
The outreach program conducts a variety of programs that aid in the overall growth, strength, and fiscal responsibilities of the Club by scouting for or creating opportunities to expose the Club's core values to the hunting and outdoor community. During the year the organization's facebook fanbase decreased from 327,019 to 321,105. Instagram fanbase increased from 40,800 to 43,253. Youtube watch time minutes decreased from 4,327,974 to 1,620,000 minutes. Combined web properties increased from 634,999 to 1,201,330 visitors.additionally, the organization created and distributed 30 press releases, launched three new web series - b&c impact, member spotlight, and state records, and added 185 pages of content to the Club's website. The organization continued to make improvements to the monthly newseletter in-the-field and renewed/signed 14 corporate sponsorship agreements and signed 1 new licensing agreement.
Membership program - provides education of members and ensures the organization's objectives are fulfilled. During the year the Club served 10 honorary life, 93 regular, 1 junior, 148 professional, 36 emeritus, and 12 ex-officio members.
Theodore roosevelt memorial ranch - explores ways wildlife & livestock can safely & profitably share lands & reduce competing forces without reducing their numbers. During the year the ranch supported 235 cows, 47 heifers, and 0 bulls. Implemented noxious weed control efforts, and had nearly 100 hunters pursue different species for conservation efforts including youth and non-youth hunters.
The building tenant program provides office space in the Club's headquarters building. Direct expenses of maintaining the space totaled $72,449 for the year and are recorded as direct program expenses on part viii of this return.
The wildlife conservation education programs promote outdoor ethics for all people, emphasizing shared use of natural resources to protect multiple options for use and enjoyment and especially to protect wildlife populations, public and private land habitats, and associated outdoor recreational experiences.during the year the organization conducted 9 field trips for 154 students and 17 teachers as part of the program's place-based conservation education.the program also held separate outdoor adventure camps: 3 outdoor adventure camps for a total of 26 youth. Participants came from Montana, Arizona, and south carolina.the organization conducted 7 mohab backcountry treks for 97 boy scouts from Minnesota, new jersey, Virginia, Washington, California, north dakota, Texas, and Maryland. These treks encompassed 2 days of on-site training followed by a 5-day, self-led (volunteer trek leader supervised) backcountry pack-rafting and hiking experience in the bob marshall wilderness.boone and Crockett archery mobile (bcam) instructed 99 individuals and 2 schools and one regional tournament. Hunter education courses hosted 27 individuals with the one Montana, master hunter rendezvous. Through a variety of virtual education programs including webpages, apps, social media, videos and electronic downloads the organization has influenced another 53,000 individuals in 2022.conservation grants: see schedule i for a description of the research conducted with grant money provided by the organization.
