BirdNote inspires people to care about the natural world and take steps to protect it. In 2023, BirdNotes audience grew from an 6.5 million listeners to an estimated 7.5 million listeners thanks to strong growth in our public radio audience and our podcast listenership BirdNotes beloved flagship 2-minute daily show, BirdNote Daily, continues to be one of the most popular public radio shows in North America (broadcast on over 300 stations) and one of the most popular podcasts in the world. The Spanish language versions of that show, BirdNote en Espaol, gained audience growth in 2023 throughout the Americas. BirdNotes longform podcasts, including Threatened and Bring Birds Back, continued to be among the top global nature podcasts in the world. Also in 2023, BirdNote completed its new strategic plan, which sets a three-year goal of inspiring a million people (with 50% being Gen Z or younger) to take action to help birds.
