Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Arizona supported one-to-one mentoring relationships for 360 at-risk youth in 2022. Support of the mentoring relationship was provided through volunteer, parent and child orientations and trainings, monthly and quarterly case management to ensure each child has positive outcomes as a result of the one-to-one mentoring relationship, and virutal actvities to support matches through the pandemic. Youth matched in the bbbs program report improvements in their grades, improved attitiude toward school, and better relationships with their parents and peers. The Big Brothers Big Sisters program has a best practices prevention program designation from the office of juvenile justice and delinquency prevention.
