Program areas at BCCRS

Bccrs responded to approximately 8,200 calls for assistance in fy19. The Bethesda-Chevy Chase Rescue Squad is an all-hazard fire and Rescue organization responding to structural fire, vehicle crash, technical Rescue and emergency medical incidents across southern montgomery county, Maryland. In addition, we provide emergency medical response to northwest portions of the district of columbia. One of two volunteer fire companies in montgomery county dedicated to operating heavy Rescue Squad and emergency medical service units, the bccrs operates as an integral component of montgomery county fire and Rescue services. The Bethesda-Chevy Chase Rescue Squad has more than 151 professionally trained volunteers and 38 paid emergency response personnel (continued on schedule o) who respond to incidents during regularly scheduled evening, night, and weekend duty shifts. On weekdays,units are staffed with bccrs employees, volunteers, one montgomery county fire Rescue paramedic.
