To further the mission of Bellefontaine Cultural Arts Commission. In 2022 the Bellefontaine Cultural Arts created and painted two murals, the Mills Brothers Mural and the Indian Lake Mural. For the Mills Brothers Mural, they hired Richard Duarte Brown along with students from Bellefontaine to design and paint a mural that represents the many decades of the Mills Brothers musical gifts. For the Indianl Lake Mural, guest artist Marilyn Reed and Indian Lake middle school students with creating the mural. The mural highlighs the special attractions at Indian Lake from the past to current. Bellefontaine Cultural Arts Commission also created a stress less program with Community Health and Wellness Partners in which it gave students in grades 7 through 12 the opportunity to particpate in music and art therapy classes. The classes are coping mechanisms for mental health distress. With this, Bellefontaine Cultural Arts Commission purchases ukuleles and art supplies for the students to take home to help relieve the stress in their lives.
