The Bedford-Stuyvesant Volunteer Ambulance Corps is the nations first minority-run Volunteer Ambulance Corps. It was created to respond to the crisis in emergency medical service that afflicts new york minority communities. It has improved emergency care and trained countless people in life saving skills. This organization is dedicated to responding to and transporting medical emergencies and in training young people in cpr and first aid.
