Program areas at Bayada Home Health Care
Bayada like many other healthcare providers responded swiftly to the covid-19 pandemic with the primary focus being the safety of our clients and employees. The company's response consisted of the following activities: -Bayada held daily leadership huddles/meetings to accelerate problem solving across our eight specialty practices in 20+ markets, provided daily email/text/youtube updates for our frontline workers, and created a covid-19 response website for employees, clients, referrals/payors/partners, and community members with supportive and educational information and resources. -Bayada mobilized procurement operations to create a new personal protective equipment (ppe) distribution system to ensure that Care could be delivered safely to thousands of high-risk clients. We centralized ppe purchasing and distribution to mitigate infection risk among high-risk clients and to guarantee the quality and availability of ppe to protect field clinicians. -Bayada mobilized resources to host our own vaccine clinics that immunized 700+ Health Care workers and community members. -Bayada reinvented the model for in-home covid-19 Care and continuously improved it in real time, providing essential Health Care for seriously ill clients in quarantine. For medically fragile clients, Bayada focused on keeping them safe and protected. - Bayada initiated new, non-mandatory employee supports, such as covid-19 employee relief programs that paid emergency sick leave to employees, as well as additional employee relief funds.
