Program areas at Austism Strong Foundation

Autism Strong Foundation runs a variety of programs and services aimed at supporting individuals with autism, raising awareness about ASD, and building a more inclusive society. Our programs are designed to meet the unique needs of people with autism, from early childhood through adulthood, as well as their families, caregivers, and communities. Landon's Hope Scholarship emphasizes our desire to come around the families in our community and offer a way to financially support therapy services for a child with autism when the family is unable to afford it. The Thoms Family have seen firsthand the impact therapy can have on a child. Landon?s Hope Scholarship is able to fund therapy hours and make a long-term impact on children with autism. Impact: In 2023, 68 individuals with autism were supported through our grant and received full annual-coverage funding for their therapy services. Emergency Fund Grant: New in 2023, we developed an Emergency Fund Grant to allow autism families to apply for therapy coverage, bill pay forgiveness, assistance with rent/mortgage, special needs purchases (ie specialized car seat), autism diagnosis fees and more. Our fund was depleted from the budgeted amount by June 2023. Impact: In 2023, 17 autism families were impacted through this program, many of whom were able to begin therapy services for their newly diagnosed child due to our grant. Angels 4 Autism Holiday Relief Program is a way for us to come alongside local families and help relieve the stress and financial burden of the holidays by providing gifts for the child AND entire family that lives in the home. Families can apply to be considered or can be nominated/submitted by a friend, school or trusted source. We work in collaboration with the family to ensure they receive what they need. Impact: In 2023, the program successfully provided holiday gifts, food, gas and household necessities for 62 children with autism and a total of 233 family members. Campership Programs: The Foundation believes in the benefits of social and recreational activities designed to provide individuals with autism opportunities to develop social skills, engage in community activities, and build lasting friendships. These include summer camps, social clubs, and group outings. We proudly support non-profit partners like Camp Royall and Camp Blue Skies to financially assist their autistic campers with tuition and fees to attend. Impact: In 2023, we provided 49 camperships to individuals of all ages to attend these specialized camp programs.
