Program areas at Autism Society Inland Empire

Education & training - In 2023, our Resource Specialists answered 7,939 calls, emails, and social media requests. These are families new to Autism starting to navigate systems and are looking for help to families in crisis needing immediate support. Our Resource Specialists were there and spent the time it took to resolve the issues - sometimes hours for one family. 216 first responders trained. 7 Toolkits created in 2023: College Toolkit, Social Recreation Services, Summer Fun, Swimming and Summer Camps. 9,303 people attended and outreach event.
Advocacy - Equity work Educational Equity class 306 was funded by Inland Empire Community Foundation and runs from 7/1/21 to 4/30/22. There may be additional funding in the Fall to continue this project. DDS CLASE Latino Community of Practice grant continues class 300 runs from March 2021-April 2022. We received a two-year extension through the California Department of Developmental Services. LISTOS Disaster Preparedness class 109 finished in 2021 through Inland Empire Community Foundation. Waiting to hear if there will be additional funding for 2022.
Support & Family Services - Social Recreation Programs. We had smaller grants funding classes 414, 419 and 420. Finishing RAP Grant for Online Teen Programs March 1, 2021 March 31, 2022 class 420. We have received notice that we have been awarded a $25k grant for PEERS Social Skills training teens and adults for 22/23. Finishing Anderson Childrens Foundation grant for Online Childrens Programs July 2021 - June 30, 2022 class 419. Currently applying for $20k funding for in-person family programs. Received unsolicited donation of $75k for Kohls Care and some smaller donations in 2021 for 2022 programs.
