Program areas at Austin Figure Skating Club
Conduct USFSA approved Test Sessions to measure skater progress in various disciplines of ice skating. Tests are required for competitive skaters. Approximately 1 test session per 8 weeks. Also include Virtual Test Sessions.
Conduct USFSA sanctioned competition(s) offering skaters the opportunity to measure progress in a competition with local and regional participants, judged by USFSA accredited judges. Large competition (Blue Bonnet Open) was held in April 2023, smaller competition (Autumn Classic) in September 2023. A very large competition (National Excel Final) was held in July 2023 so the bulk of the expenses for will occur next fiscal year even though the vast majority of the revenue was receive this fiscal year.
Special seminars conducted by ice skating professionals to enhance skating skill. Ice time is purchased periodically for club member to improve skating skills, receive instruction from various skating professionals.
Club Ice activities including ice time, demonstrations, exhibitions, and socials.
Club Merchandise including Monogrammed Skating Jackets for new members.
