Research Administration ABRC provided grant application submission and contract negotiation services for investigators. ABRC provided fiscal oversight to include administration of the project funds, monitoring budgets, and creating timely financial reports. ABRC administers 35 accounts for 14 members conducting active research in the following research areas: cardiology, neurology, dermatology, urology, geriatrics, prostate cancer, ophthalmology and oncology. Human Resources Administration ABRC hires research staff directly or reimburses another employer for their employees' time spent working on VA approved research studies. When ABRC hires employees, it provides payroll services including direct deposit, state and federal tax filing, unemployment insurance, and leave tracking. When another employer is reimbursed, ABRC provides bookkeeping services to handle invoices and payments.
